Rivian update 2024.31.01 to improve Apple Music, Audible & Navigation
Rivian has been dialing it up with its updates lately, and it isn’t stopping anytime soon. The company has already started internally testing Rivian update 2024.31.01, promising improvements in its recently released features, like Apple Music and Audible. Rivian is also rolling out some improvements to navigation.
Apple Music & Audible Improvements in 2024.31.01
Rivian released Apple Music and Audible for R1 owners earlier this month, along with Connect+. Most R1 drivers enjoyed using the new features.
However, a few Rivian owners pointed out a few bugs in the Applice Music and Audible features. Rivian intends to work out the remaining kinks in the next update. Read the improvements coming to Apple Music and Audible below.
Apple Music Improvements
- Fixed an issue that caused incorrect artwork to appear for a track
- Fixed an issue causing an unnecessary “internet connection message” tp appear when entering the vehicle
- Improved stability on the app
Audible Improvements
- Fixed an issue causing audiobooks and podcasts to overlap on the Home Screen
Navigation Improvements in Update 2024.31.01
- Improved navigation search experience
- Search on Google Maps will show an auto-complete suggestion
- Search includes complete addresses of locations and terms used in recent search results
- Search includes added place details like photos from Google Maps with Connect+
- Increased accuracy of traffic data and improved route color-coding
- Integrated trip preferences with navigation settings
- Route previews while changing trip preferences during a drive
A few improvements will be made specifically for Gen 1 and 2 vehicles. Rivian Trackr wrote about other improvements rolling out in update 2024.31.01.
