Rivian Launches Rewards Program With Amazing Perks
Rivian has launched a dedicated rewards program, and it is arguably one of the best in the market today. From credits for items at the Gear Shop to a paid adventure weekend to (practically) free R1 vehicles, the Rivian Rewards program is something that is truly designed to grow the community.
As noted by Rivian on its official website, all US-based Rivian owners except for Ohio and Virginia residents would be given a personalized referral code. When someone uses an owner’s referral code during checkout of a qualifying R1 vehicle and takes delivery, both the original owner and the new owner would receive rewards.
These rewards are comprised of 750 points that could be redeemed in the Gear Shop or R1 Shop, as well as six months of free charging at Rivian Adventure Network sites. As per Rivian, one point in its referral program is equal to $1 in credit.

Rivian notes that there is no limit to how many times an owner’s referral code could be used by others. There is also no cap on how many total points a person could earn, though there is a lifetime limit on how much free Rivian Adventure Network charging a user could accumulate. Points also expire two years after they are added to an owner’s account.
Despite the required redemption period for points accumulated through the Rivian Rewards program, the fact that each R1 purchase adds 750 points means that participants should be able to gather enough points for some major purchases with enough referrals. This was highlighted by the company on its Rivian Rewards page, which explains that with enough points, an owner could *almost* purchase a whole vehicle for free.
“Points can be applied toward the final purchase price of a qualifying R1 Shop vehicle – however, points cannot be used for vehicle deposits, custom vehicle configurations, reservations, or vehicle purchases outside of Rivian's R1 Shop,” Rivian noted.

Rivian is also including a special perk for the first 100 owners who could earn 25 qualified referrals. As per the electric truck maker, owners who earn 25 referrals may be eligible to attend a Rivian-hosted weekend experience within the United States. This experience includes domestic economy-class airfare, accommodations, and three meals per day, all of which will be arranged through Rivian or its vendors.
