Rivian R2 To Go On Tour In Select US and Canada Cities

Rivian fans in the United States and Canada who wish to see the upcoming Rivian R2 may soon have the opportunity to see the all-electric crossover in person. As per a recent post on Rivian’s official Instagram account, the R2's new tour will start in Pasadena, California and end in Toronto, Canada.

The Rivian R2’s tour is quite extensive, and it involves the all-electric crossover being showcased in multiple cities well into 2025. This is likely part of Rivian’s strategy to ensure that the R2 is well promoted to its target consumers before the vehicle enters production. 

The Rivian R2’s US and Canada city tour will be held in these locations on the following dates. Do take note that some R2 showcase events are notably shorter than others. The San Francisco stop, for one, only lasts two days, while other stops, like Portland, are expected to last almost two weeks.

2. San Francisco, CA — August 24-25, 2024 (2 days)
3. Vancouver, B.C. — September 2-7, 2024 (6 days)
4. Portland, OR — September 12-24, 2024 (13 days)
5. Nashville, TN — October 3-7, 2024 (5 days)
6. New York City, NY — October 11-13, 2024 (3 days)
7. Boston, MA — October 17-21, 2024 (5 days)
8. Austin, TX — November 7-11, 2024 (5 days)
9. Laguna, CA — November 13-17, 2024 (5 days)
10. Los Angeles, CA — November 21-Dec 1, 2024 (11 days)
11. Detroit, MI — January 10-20, 2025 (11 days)
12. Chicago, IL — February 8-12, 2025 (5 days)
13. Toronto, ON — February 14-23, 2025 (10 days)

Interestingly enough, the Rivian R2 would be accompanied by the R3X in Pasadena, CA. The electric truck maker did not confirm if the R3X or the R3 would be joining the R2 in its other stops across the United States and Canada. Even alone, however, the Rivian R2 is bound to attract a lot of attention. It does, after all, have the potential to push Rivian into becoming a mainstream automaker.

Perhaps it could even become the next Tesla Model Y in terms of raw vehicle sales and sheer undeniable success.
