Rivian teases cool "Knight Rider"-inspired Halloween update
Rivian has posted a teaser of what could very well be its special Halloween update this year. Based on Rivian's short clip, it appears that the theme of this year's Halloween update would be none other than the iconic lights of K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider.

K.I.T.T. is arguably one of the most iconic vehicles in pop culture, being the star of the 1982 action crime drama show Knight Rider. The show starred David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight, who is assisted by K.I.T.T., an autonomous, artificially intelligent, near-indestructible car that's loaded to the teeth with tech.

K.I.T.T. was a customized 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, and one of its most iconic features was a small light bar that acted like a heartbeat of sorts. This light bar seemed to be simulated by Rivian in its recent teaser video. Rivian's Knight Rider Halloween update seems to be licensed as well, as hinted at by a copyright message at the end of the short teaser.
Rivian owners responded positively to the company's Knight Rider Halloween update, though some speculated that the feature might be exclusive to Gen 2 R1T and R1S vehicles. These speculations have resulted in some Gen 1 R1 owners in online groups such as the Rivian Forums expressing concerns that they might be left out of what could very well be a cool Halloween update.
